The Tool Design department has made considerable improvements to the original product’s geometry over the past 2 years. The newly-developed products were tested by professional machining companies during development, as well as being subject to ongoing comparison with the best competitive universal types already on the market. The result is the Schumacher Universal tap range.
The screw thread and groove width ratio has been optimised, which minimises friction resistance during tapping. This range has been designed for use in steel, chemical-resistant steel, nodular cast iron, and long-chipping copper alloys. These universal taps are available for through and blind holes, with a vaporised or TiN coating.
For through hole, spiral point shape B
